"Roses are red, Violets are blue"Finish the lovely verse.
We Have A Winner!!! 01/13/10
Roses are roses, violets are not.Winner: J Cosmo Newbery
"Roses are red, violets are blue",
Overused twaddle and clearly untrue.
Some roses are white, others are pink,
In Texas they're yellow, the worlds biggest, I think.
Violets are odd, with their own special hue,
Violets are violet and definitely not blue.
That sugar is sweet, I have to agree,
But that's where it ends, it seems to me.
The thinking is flawed, the analogy faulty:
Sugar is sweet but you are quite salty.
Reason: I had never thought about it to that degree before but totally correct. And nicely rhymed!

'My nose is frozen and my feet are too!
Damn it is cold!
And you'll be poisoned to death if you put them in stew.
My hubby is thrilled that I love Dr. Who!
But daisies are simple and remind me of you.
And together they make a lovely tattoo.
I've got a BLACK thumb, so they never grew!
Roses are red, violets are blue.
(Making obvious statements, that's what I do.)
Doors open and close.
Snot comes from your nose.
Toddlers say "Why?" and cows say "Moo."
New Year's Resolution-style:
Roses are red, violets are blue.
Act like a bad airline and lose the baggage.
(WHAT? Nobody said it had to rhyme.)
Roses are roses, violets are not.

Whoever said that
must be red-green color-blind:
Violets are purple.
Wacko! Thank you!
