The condensed directions: Read the cue, react to the cue. There's no right answer, no research required. I cite sources where applicable but it's all about coming up with creative answers. Winners are picked in a week.

The number one rule? Have FUN!!!

05/23 - I'll be naming final winners this week!

Letters: Given either a first line or a set-up, write a letter appropriate to the situation.

Write a letter to an advice column about something that has been troubling you.

And don't be surprised if some of these responses end up as future cues.

My Zoodle was always a kiddo who
Was sweet in all he'd say or do,
Until one day,
Zoodle said, "Hey!
I think I'll start acting like I'm TWO!"

So, Madame Advice Columnist, HOW do I get my even-tempered boy back?!

Dear Cate,

I have this embarrassing problem and I am not sure how to address it... or, God forbid, if I need to involve a professional. I desperately need your advice!

I was just in the bathroom. Yesterday, my bathroom fan broke or I would have turned it on before.... uhhhhh.... settling myself. Anyway, I was incredibly surprised to learn that my sh** stinks! I mean, I know they say everyone's does, but I guess I never noticed that mine did as well.

Besides having a new fan installed immediately, what can I do?

Dear Aunt Polly,

I have/had a friend.
We don't talk anymore.
More specifically, I don't talk to her anymore.
She is this amazing, talented, artistic and interesting person.
No really, I used to love spending time with her.
She made me a better writer, she provoked inspiration.
We used to laugh and talk and prophesize and conspire.
Me and her against a stereotypical, labelling world.
A pair of witty(so we thought) anarchists.

Then things took a turn, and she called me an unacceptable number of times a day, mailed/texted/ cetera.

She kept questioning life in a way that scared and depressed me.
She seemed to make the world revolve around me, and at the same time always made me feel like she wasn't really listening.

She began to take over my life, she leeched onto all of my friends.

She was everywhere.

I just didn't have the answers to her ultra philosophical questions anymore.

I was running out of steam. I was so close to breaking down.

One of my friends pulled me out in the nick of time.

But sometimes I have this disquieting thought...
She was a great friend, and no one's perfect, right?

Should I have held on?
I don't know.

-Feeling slightly disappointed with herself.

P.S. I'm really sorry about the length.
