Ice Cream

Letters: Given either a first line or a set-up, write a letter appropriate to the situation.

Write a letter to an ice cream company explaining your idea for a new flavor and what to call it.

05/07/10 - No winner on this due to lack of response. Bummer, too. I liked this one.

In honor of me,
Of course: you should call it
Fresh Bosomberry. :)

A smidgen of vodka, a shot of rum,
Red wine for color, Kahlua for YUM.
You'll dance and shout
When this ice cream sells out,
Thanks to the label: "Ice Cream for Mum."

(All in good fun, folks. I don't really handle my parenting frustrations by being a lush.)

Dear Ice Cream Man,
I have a great idea for a flavor of ice cream that I think everyone would go crazy over. Chai Latte! Chai is one of the most delicious flavors with high notes of cardamom, as well as cinnamon, ginger, star anise, peppercorn and cloves. The flavor reminds me a lot of pumpkin pie spice. Chai originated in India, so to honor that I suggest you call this ice cream "Bollywood Chai."
Yours Truly,
Me

Dear Ice Cream Inc.

I think we can all agree that Reese's Peanut Butter Cups rank way up there in the list of Greatest Things Ever Invented.

So how about you just stick a bunch of 'em in a blender with a bit of cream (or something? I dunno, you guys are the experts here) and serve it up on a cone?

Just call it Your Tongue Will Thank You For Eating This.

Yours in peanut buttery goodness,
Marc

Dear Mr. Ice Cream Man,

Since I was a child, I have sprinkled crushed Peanut M&Ms on my ice cream. It is a delicious treat combining what I believe to be the two greatest creations. Perhaps it would be prudent to create an ice cream flavour that includes the great taste of Peanut M&Ms. This would save me considerable snack prep time.

A variety of tastes could be created, using different flavours of ice cream. I suggest naming each flavour according to the type of ice cream used. For example: YuM&My Chocolate, YuM&My Butterscotch, YuM&My Vanilla.

I am happy to accept payment in the form of YuM&My products, in lieu of cash.

Regards,

Monica Manning (a.k.a. M&M)
