hi there- this is my first time, so be gentle :)
1- flip flops. happy feet are very important to me.
2- perfume. i like to smell myself :)
3- are we going some place sunny? i will definitely need my honeymoon hat.
4- candy. my husband is a candy freak. like has a drawer by his side of the bed FULL of candy. it keeps the peace if i carry some around, too.
Some cookies are needed (non-poison, you know),
Several books if the flight is slow.
I'll put a name tag
On my carry-on bag,
And I'll pray that the overhead has room to stow!
The things you must pack
are clean underwear and a snack.
Don't forget a toothbrush too
and some Tylenol in case you get the flu.
Toss in a book and the kid needs a toy.
I think are are ready, oh joy!
going on a cruise for the first time with some friends, at customs my luggage was randomly picked for examination. the officer's eyebrows raised when on opening the luggage he saw:
1. my back lotion applicator (foam shaped like mickey mouse's hand with a pink handle); my hubby's not with me to do the job.
2. my contoured pillow; the hotel's (or the ship's) are either too soft or too stiff; i'm prone to neckaches.
3. hot compress bag; for my shoulders when i do get those neckaches.
4. my cold compress; we're going to be boozing and god knows i get a headache when i get hangover.
5. glade spray (preferably citrus scent); are you kidding me, officer? i'm bunking with three other people! i need that for the bathroom!!!!
I typically pack for my hubby when he goes away on business. Here are some random things I always pack for him (my personal pack list is boring):
1. Nail clipper - he spends the majority of his days (and nights) on his laptop. The feeling and sound of nails on the keyboard drives him crazy (and clipping his nails before he leaves never crosses his mind).
2. Tums - Business dinners at fancy restaurants. Enough said.
3. Nintendo DS - if he decides he doesn't want to read.
4. Collar stays - I don't think he's ever noticed this one. Most of his dress shirts have them built in anyway.
5. A love note tucked into his toiletry bag (yes, I'm that corny)
Always pack earplugs.
