Secret Santa

So I Have This Friend: Give your best advice to this friend.
So I have this friend... He needs to buy a holiday gift for his boss with a limit of $20. It's widely known that his boss is an incompetent jerk and everybody else was relieved that they didn't draw his name for Secret Santa. Any suggestions?

Winner: Inspired Dreamer
Reason: This was fictional but my boss is a Computer Services manager. The idea of specifically making sure the tech gift comes with instructions won me over.

I like your haikus, Inspired Dreamer. (I think the plural of haiku is actually haiku, but I wanted you to know I enjoy them all, not just this one.) :)

I'll be back with a limerick later.

You could buy him a beautiful kite,
Or a tie in red, blue, & white.
Or give him a hint
In black and white print

It sounds like your boss has not been a very good person this year. Do what Santa would do in this situation. Give him a lump of coal.

After walking the isles of the Salvation Army store for over an hour, trying to find this clod the "perfect gift". I decided to go to Wal-Mart.

I went over to the book isle, and after a few minutes, I saw the perfect gift for him, a book named "Office Management for Dummies". I bought it, and paid four dollars to have it wrapped, and put a tag on it from a gal that he had fired earlier in the year.

Then I bought a card, and a gift certificate at Burgerking for the boss from me.

Thanks C. Beth!!! I enjoy your limericks. Kudos on the link too--great way to stick to your syllable count and still deliver a great punch line. I may have to take a page out of your book at some point. :)
