Wildcard: Award Show

Wildcard: This category can be absolutely anything. Absolutely. Anything.

You are in charge of creating a new award show. What industry or group will you choose and why?

We Have A Winner!!! 02/15/10
It is about time that we introduce the "I sure ain't in it for the money" awards - to be nicknamed the Brokes. These would be handed out to the very best in the career fields that are horribly underpaid but that do tremendous service for us every day - fire fighters, police officers, teachers, etc.
Winner: Bethany (@Auburnrose)
Reason: It's about time some of those folks receive recognition on a very regular basis.

Gospel music. I Love gospel and I feel that the recognition they get is so below the level they deserve. We have huge shows for the grammys and oscars and the ACM and CMA but the only thing I hear for gospel is Dove awards. They need a huge show like other genre's.

You know all those made up awards, like Best Mom, Worst Friend, etc.? Those would become REAL awards. People would be able to vote on what categories, nominate who would receive these awards, vote on the categories, then the red carpet would be rolled out for the nominees to walk down (disguises would be optional for the bad ones), then the winners would receive appropriate trophies for their win(s). The "best" winners would finally get the recognition they deserve, the "worst" will probably have tomatoes thrown at them.

Introducing the Gratitude Award show, a new show that candidly follows nominees, where the audience will get to watch and ultimately vote, for who wins. The nominees are nominated by their family, friends, co-workers, anyone they know. The cameras will follow, without the nominees knowing, to see how and how often they say thank you to others. The nominees will also be picked based on how helpful the are to others. Go ahead send in your nominees!!! Since the beginning of the show three months ago, we've had five nominees. Come on! Surely, there are more than five people in America who are gracious and helpful!

Right?
